Before 2018, the corporate social responsibility programme (CSRP) has been in existence. Over the years, donation activities across the ten regions of the country have been carried out by Cosmos.

In 2018, we partnered with local NGOs (most significantly LOCAL YOUTH CORNER) to implement this programme.

As an indigenous publishing company which has been in activity since 1982, we are very much aware of the need for and importance of education for all. We are also mindful of the strategic plans the state of Cameroon has for the education of its young citizens. This is the reason why, over the years, through this Corporate Social Responsibility programme, we have donated textbooks to schools and libraries in different regions of the country.

From this year on, Cosmos Educational Press Ltd. has adopted a hybrid method (work with NGOs and direct implementation. This year’s project (2022) intends to give back to society by helping children in need have a better learning experience. CEPL is the leading actor of this program that involves pupils of both the Anglophone (Classes 1-6) and Francophone (SIL –CM2) sub-systems of education in the three regions (South West, West and East Regions).

On a positive note, this year’s project is very special, as we shall be launching a free online virtual platform with e-books for learners to enjoy an alternative and complementary way of learning. These e-books and their respective animated videos will bring life to the textbooks, and support the learner to understand better. This online platform will also present books on the official programme in motion videos.

In the short term, e-books will be available for learners of the basic level of education. Subsequently, these will be provided for the secondary level.

This project targets about 15000 pupils of both the Anglophone (Classes 1-6) and Francophone (SIL –CM2) sub-systems of education.
